Workstream Again Recognized as Leading Technology Company

On-demand Software Leader Jumps 13 Places to Number 79 on the Branham300 list

Ottawa, ON. – March 16, 2006 – Workstream Inc. (NASDAQ: WSTM), a provider of On-Demand Enterprise Workforce Management software, today announced that it is again among the leading Canadian technology companies, according to research prepared by Branham Group Inc., a top consulting firm servicing the global information technology marketplace.

The 2006 edition of the Branham300, a comprehensive listing of publicly traded and privately held IT companies in Canada that ranks firms by worldwide revenues, was announced this week by Branham Group. The new listing identifies Workstream as the 79th largest company, up 13 places from last year’s ranking. The Company was also ranked in Branham’s 25 Top Software Companies in Canada. The complete rankings are available online at www.branhamgroup.com and in the March/April issue of Backbone Magazine.

Now in its thirteenth year, the Branham300 continues to highlight the top Canadian information technology companies. Companies must meet three of the following criteria to be considered a Canadian company for the purposes of applying for the Branham300 other than the multi-national listing:

  • The company was founded in Canada and their headquarters remain in Canada;
  • Over 50 percent of their employees are located in Canada;
  • Corporate direction is determined in Canada; and
  • Over 50 percent of their research and development activities are conducted in Canada.

“It is an honor to once again be included on the prestigious Branham300 list,” stated Kevin Dobbs, EVP at Workstream. “Our continued growth reflects our efforts towards developing industry leading products and working tirelessly to meet the needs of our customers. The entire Workstream team shares this accomplishment, and we look forward to continued success in 2006.”
